The annual trade show was cancelled but the education program will be held online

US (NC): Green & Growin’ 21 Marketplace Trade Show cancelled

Marketplace at Green & Growin’ 21 was cancelled due to uncertainties surrounding the ability to hold large in-person events in January 2021 and to protect the health, safety and welfare of exhibitors, attendees, and supporting personnel.

The two-day trade show, hosted by North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association (NCNLA), is a staple in the green industry that attracts nearly 400 exhibitors and more than 2,000 attendees from across the country.

“The NCNLA board of directors was hopeful that the public health environment would improve, but that hasn’t been the case,” said Hugh Crump, NCNLA President. “Last week, we surveyed our exhibitors and attendees, and their feedback was critical to our ability to make an informed decision. We’re disappointed but feel that we made the right choice based on the information we gathered.”

The announcement follows NCNLA’s decision to go virtual with the three-day education conference. The education program will be held Jan. 11-13, 2021, with general education sessions covering topics for growers, buyers, managers, landscapers and other industry professionals. Registered education attendees will be able to view the online sessions for three months after the event.

Early bird registration for the Virtual Education program opens Nov. 16. To learn more, visit www.greenandgrowin.com
