Belgian nursery sees surge in baytree popularity

One of Europe's leading nurseries for Laurels and Bay Trees report a surge in sales during 2020. The increased demand for baytrees in all shapes and sizes is due mainly to the effects of Covid-19.

Improving home environment
Laurica's Marian Maenhoudt elaborates further: “2020 was not quite as we expected due to Covid-19. However, people across the U.K. and Europe have stayed home. They have sought to improve and enjoy their home environment, including the garden and terrace areas.”

All sizes, heights & shapes
“Our baytrees were again very popular this year! The high quality range we offer includes lollipops, pyramids, curly stems in all sizes and heights, both at the front door or terrace! Our baytrees do have a prominent look in every garden, large or small.”

Major expansion for 2021
“We are looking forward to next year! The quality of our trees is excellent. During winter, we take all plants inside the greenhouses to protect them against the cold. As we speak we are building a new greenhouse and extra fields to provide even more care for our plants.”
