Dutch growers call for formal meeting with Royal FloraHolland's member’s council

Recently, a group of three Dutch growers and another Dutch industry stakeholder launched a petition calling for a formal meeting with the member’s council of Royal FloraHolland to discuss their concerns regarding the digital platform Floriday, compulsory certification, and the general course of action of the board. The petition was open to sign till February 7 and last week, the petition was already signed by over 600 companies (250 signatures are needed and 5% of the turnover) in the sector. According to the initiators, the signatures reflects a broad representation of the industry; large and small growers, flower and plant growers, growers from the Netherlands, Europe and abroad. A legal advisor will validate the results and write a report, in a week or two the result will be formally presented.
