Until mid-December, Landgard presented the extensive assortment from northern German cultivation and many creative ideas to visitors in Wiesmoor as part of the "Focus on Nursery" forum. The event ended on a positive note - despite the Corona pandemic and the associated changes in the event concept. "The order volume has far exceeded our expectations. This shows once again that, thanks to our proximity to customers, we know exactly what their requirements and wishes are. This results in an attractive, up-to-date assortment and we have once again offered some highlights," says Dirk Theilken, Team Leader Nursery at the Wiesmoor site.
"We ensured the safety of our customers on the approximately 1,500 square meter exhibition area with a very well-developed hygiene concept. This also included significantly reducing the number of visitors and distributing them evenly over the duration of the forum by means of personal invitations. This gave us the necessary freedom to carefully plan the assortments for the spring season together with the individual customers. Now we all hope that the further course of the Corona pandemic will allow the lockdown to come to an end as soon as possible and that all our customers will be able to reopen their stores," says Walter Vogt, one of the people responsible for the Wiesmoor site.
As a result, the mood among customers was positive throughout the entire event, which ran from November 9 to December 18, 2020, and the imaginative design and presentation of the concepts were met with a positive response. Selected large and specimen plants as well as individually compiled assortments of evergreen shrubs such as lavender heather and Japanese azaleas aroused particularly great interest. The current trend around the topic of self-sufficiency was served at the forum "Focus Nursery" in Wiesmoor by pome and stone fruit assortments, which can be ideally staged at the POS with suitable sales concepts such as "My little fruit balcony" and "Harvest lust". This theme area was rounded off by a wide selection of figs and blueberries.

Customized sales concepts and more
In addition to nursery stock, ornamental and specimen plants, as well as new and special products, the Forum also focused on other customized sales concepts developed especially for Landgard customers.
In the "Style up your garden" concept, customers experience, at POS level, how they can set completely new accents in their home garden with a stylish plant assortment. The "Strong Types" product concept shines the spotlight on the boxwood substitute Ilex crenata and humorously invites consumers to express their own unmistakable personal touch when "styling" the holly. For those who prefer colorful and flowery plants, "Wat ne Hübsche" is the right choice. Because it decides with evergreen Rhododendron Hybrids for genuine pieces of jewelry, which inspire straight young plant friends as solitary plants and as hedge for the bloom-strong garden and terrace classics.
In total, more than 2,000 items were on display in Wiesmoor, representing the entire range of high-quality products from Ammerland, Wiesmoor, Schleswig-Holstein and Münsterland, as well as from the nursery areas of the Netherlands.
