In January 2022, lily nursery Qualily will start producing odorless lilies at the location where Chrysanthemum Nursery R&A van Kester is currently located. The forces are bundled here, because the 2nd generation Bart van Kester participates as co-owner at the new location of Qualily.
"Qualily has grown significantly over the past 10 years, as was also the case with a successful acquisition last year. We want to maintain the connection with the Dutch top and produce lilies competitively worldwide. We are preparing our company for the future and that is why we try to organize our activities as efficiently as possible. For example, our central distribution center at Royal FloraHolland will be maintained to deliver quickly and customized 24/7. An important change wihen considering the future is that we are moving from various smaller to larger locations, so that we can grow more sustainably," Qualily's management said.
The chrysanthemum nursery in Kwintsheul is being converted into a production location for (year-round) lilies. As usual, Van Kester will continue to supply her Baltica's until week 2 next year. After this, the LAs from Qualily will be harvested at this location.
