Oriental Group will soon present the "cuddly cactus". It is, according to Oriental Group, the first needle-free cactus that can be supplied structurally to the European market.
The cuddly idea lies, naturally, in the absence of needles. This makes it child-friendly and pet-friendly, as you can't hurt yourself on it: a fact gratefully seized upon in the branding.
Oriental Group imports the plants and allows them to gradually acclimatize in the greenhouse after arrival in the Netherlands. Over the past few months, the company has run tests with various garden centers and florists in Europe. They say they have received good feedback from these tests, which is why the grower has now decided to introduce them more widely to the market.
Oriental Group has imported a larger volume in recent months, making it possible to start up long-term day-trade lines.
