Iberflora visits COEXPHAL to enhance the presence of the ornamental sector of Almeria

The manager of COEXPHAL, Luis Miguel Fernandez, and the person in charge of the Ornamental section of COEXPHAL, Francisco Rubio, have met with the Director of Iberflora, International Plant and Flower Fair, Landscaping, Technology and DIY Garden, Miguel Bixquert, to address the presence of the Almeria sector in the Valencian sample.

This meeting arises at the request of the organization of Iberflora that, knowing the trajectory and importance of the sector of the cut flower and ornamental plant of Almeria, has offered COEXPHAL the possibility of having a stand at this fair to be represented the Ornamental section of the Association.

The Ornamental COEXPHAL section currently groups 33 occupying companies 234 hectares (124 under greenhouse and 110 outdoors) and that last year they marketed a total of 23,2 millions of living plants.  A 94 percent were destined for export, whose three main destinations were The Netherlands (11,3 millions of plants), followed by France (7 million) and Germany (1,2 million).
