"The imbalance between supply and demand has allowed us a satisfactory year of sales"

COPLANT, in Galicia, is a project that was born in 2004 thanks to the commitment and union of five nurseries producing ornamental plants in the southern part of Galicia, strengthening its headquarters and logistics center in the region of "Baixo Miño". Together with the joint experience and the vocation of customer service that characterizes them, they offer a wide range of ornamental plant in different sizes and formats.

COPLANT is geared towards the marketing of quality ornamental planta at a national and international level, being present in the main European markets as France, UK, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Portugal, Italy and Denmark, aimed at both the garden channel and the plant wholesaler.

Emilio Estevez, director of the marketing company and member of the Organizing Committee of Iberflora, has chatted with us about the 2021.

"This year there is a clear decompensation of supply /demand in favor of the latter which allows us a satisfactory year of sales, and internationally the situation has been similar to that of the Spanish market, more demand than supply, we have noticed a great dynamism in the French market in particular."

For Estévez this year has been key "the valorization of the domestic environment that has come to stay, with a greater plant culture, highlighting the emergence of a new young client living independently".

And for Estevez, all this has been centralized in the establishment par excellence, the garden center: “The garden center has become a place of possible leisure in times of COVID, which has allowed it to have new customers who didn't come before."

COPLANT will be one of the companies of the Galician collective that will participate in Iberflora, International Fair of Plants and Flowers, Landscaping, Technology and Bricojardín that will take place in the 5th to 7th of October in Feria Valencia.
