Smithers-Oasis, a company in the floriculture and floral design industry, is launching a new floral design media - Oasis TerraBrick Floral Media. Made with plant-based, renewable, natural coir and a compostable binder, Oasis TerraBrick Floral Media has been certified OK compost HOME and OK compost INDUSTRIAL.

“We started this project with a long list of performance targets,” continued Kilbride. “Oasis TerraBrick Floral Media checks all of the boxes.” In addition to being certified OK compost HOME and OK compost INDUSTRIAL, the product offers a sturdy foundation in which to create floral designs, allowing design from all sides. The product can be cut to fit any container or can be used on a dish or plate so that it can be seen and incorporated into the design.
“We’ve done extensive product testing in a number of our Research laboratories. This product offers very good flower life and meets the other rigorous testing standards that we establish for all our products. Of course, our testing extended beyond our laboratories into the hands of floral designers around the world. That feedback was key to achieving our goals.”
Oasis TerraBrick Floral Media is initially launching in the United States, Canada and Europe. Launches in other markets will continue throughout the year.
