"We have never seen the IFTF this busy"

As if last year never happened, this year's Trade Fairs are again the parties of the Dutch and the international flower and plant sectors. Lots of people in the aisles, cheerful exhibitors and, according to reports, also many foreign visitors. At the same time, all sorts of prizes will be awarded, novelties launched, meetings organized, and any news announced we will try to report on as fully as possible in the coming days.

Rosa Eskelund, Danish rose breeder Roses Forever: "We have never seen the IFTF so busy. We are positively surprised by the number of visitors to this year's event. This year especially, we are noticing that the people coming to our booth are really interested in our products. We have had growers wanting to start production of the roses they are seeing at our booth. and they are from all over the world (Korea, US, Ecuador, Middle East). While we were hesitant at first, it was definitely worth having our booth here, as it has gained us new possible customers."

Ann Gikonyo, Agriculture Fisheries And Food Authority (AFA): "The second day, we are seeing even more people interested in our booth than yesterday. It is noticeable that today's crowd is different from yesterday; we are seeing lots of new faces. This year it is interesting that people are really interested in our floral arrangements, everyone is taking photos of them, and it is not just the roses people are interested in, but mainly our other varieties as well. This year's visitors are definitely interested in disease-resistant Kenyan flowers."
