The government’s appeal to reduce activities outside as an effort to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 has disrupted various sectors. However, to some ornamental plant agribusinesses in Surakarta, this condition actually has a good impact on their business.
This study aims to describe the ornamental plant agribusinesses and analyze their independence as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic in Surakarta. Informants in this study were determined by the snowball sampling technique. The data collection was done by in-depth interviews and observation.
The results showed that there were ornamental plant agribusinesses that were able to survive in the midst of the pandemic, and some even developed well because their sales turnover increased.
