On January 10, 2022, Ruud Klasens will step into the role of general director of the Dutch company, Benfried. After his induction period, he will take over various tasks and responsibilities. The current management will step down on July 1, 2022.
Ruud has more than a decade of experience in the horticultural sector. He is currently still employed as Schreurs Holland's commercial director. Ruud is married and has three children. He lives in the city of Leiden.
"Ruud is bringing much horticultural sector knowledge and experience. That's in both the domestic and international market," explains the current management.
Ruud is looking forward to starting in January. "Benfried is a great company with a total, diverse product range. It keeps in close contact with customers. And know-how and added value are of paramount importance. I'm proud to become part of that," he says.
Benfried has been a total supplier for more than 75 years. They serve the local and overseas greenhouse horticulture industry. The range is divided into product groups. These include fertilizers, crop protection, irrigation, packaging, film, and ground canvas. Benfried has a stone wool line under the Multigrow brand name too.
Benfried joined the Belgian company, Arvesta this year.
