Flower exporter Barendsen will join OZ-Hami, part of Dutch Flower Group (DFG), as of 1 January 2022. Barendsen has been exporting fresh-cut flowers to wholesale companies, event and wedding planners, and florists for more than 100 years. The company’s 70 employees in Aalsmeer prepare custom orders for customers in more than 35 countries around the world, including Switzerland, France, and Spain. Alongside its export activities, Barendsen benefits from having its own network of growers in the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and South America, who produce special types of cut flowers.
Barendsen was looking for a committed partner to help grow its customer portfolio. OZ-Hami, which incorporates the OZ Export, Hamifleurs, and Van Dam export businesses, fitted the bill.
