Breeders Hans Steenkamer, Blooming Creations, and B.D. Rijnbeek

New Skimmia product line Mamma Mia introduced

Dutch breeders Hans Steenkamer, Blooming Creations (the breeding company of grower Van de Jong Plant), and B.D. Rijnbeek together introduce a new Skimmia product line called Mamma Mia. The varieties will be brought to the market by a company also called Mamma Mia, which was founded especially to this goal.

Picobello is an early flowering Skimmia with scented flowers. In contrast to the Skimmia Rubella, the Piccobello has already colored red in the colder greenhouses at the end of July. The Picobello provides color on the terrace and in the garden for 10 months.

"This hardy plant comes in a red printed pot and with a trendy sales concept that stimulates the real Mamma Mia effect at the consumer.
Mamma Mia is a beautiful, rich flowering Skimmia with scented flowers and red berries. The red berries appear when the Mamma Mia is close to a Picobello or the Early Rubella," the breeders explain.

Sustainability
Picobello flowers in an early stage and can be grown under cold growing conditions and subsequently has a sustainable flowering period: this plant is climate-friendly.
