To facilitate the increasing growth and quality, Fulfilment Center Arcen (FCA) has opened one of the largest Fulfilment Centers for plants in Europe, as of January 1st. The company is located on 10 hectares of land, 18,000 m² warehouse, 30 docks, cooling installations, and offices.
Unique due to pallet transport for B2C
FCA offers pallet transport to consumers/webshops interested in large orders of hedge plants, Mediterranean plants, and XL plants, among others. Delivery of these orders currently takes place in 11 countries, with the aim of expanding to 26 countries. The plants come directly from partnerships with growers in Europe and from their nurseries Roobeek and Dutch Garden Plants.
Shift to digital market
The fact that the demand on webshops is growing within the plant sector does not surprise Managing Director Frank Deriet: "This shift is unstoppable. On 7, 8 and 9 February, Fulfilment Center Arcen is organizing the very first e-commerce fair by invitation for webshops with garden, terrace, and balcony products. Fulfilment Center Arcen takes the entire logistical process off one's hands and is specialized in the efficient purchase, packaging and shipping of plants in boxes or on pallets. The aftercare is also taken care of by offering a specialized customer service. Finally, FCA deals with quality control, administration and stock management.
