India: Polyhouse for floriculture comes up in EKH village

A newly inaugurated polyhouse in Tangmang village, Pynursla, East Khasi Hills, is all set to be used for floriculture. The inauguration programme was organised by a social organisation called AROH Foundation while the project has been sponsored by HDFC Bank Ltd.
In the inaugural programme, boutonnieres were presented to all the guests.

Speaking on the occasion, the Headman of Tangmang village expressed hope that with the intervention of the polyhouse there will be a boost in income generation and the village would in the future be recognised as one of the leading villages which could produce fresh flowers to cater to the demand of not only other villages but the entire states of the Northeastern region.
