Digital purchasing on the rise at Plantion

In 2021, Plantion had € 14.8 million in turnover from its digital purchasing options Klok Voorverkoop (Auction Presale), Kopen Op Afstand (Buy from a Distance), and webshop; 81 percent more than in 2020. The digital share in the total turnover of €114.5 million rose from 7.7 to 12.9 percent. This development is in line with Plantion's ambition to offer excellent physical and digital purchasing opportunities and to let the marketplace grow as a whole.

Turnover per section
Plantion's clock turnover in 2021 amounted to € 54.5 million, 8.8 percent more than the previous year. It is noteworthy that the share of digital clock purchasing increased from 20 percent at the beginning of the year to 30 percent at the end. Plantion attributes this to the wider opening of Klok Voorverkoop and the addition of live video images to Kopen Op Afstand.

Sales at Plantion Mediation rose by 8.6 percent to €56.4 million. Plantion Groencentrum had a turnover of €2.3 million, a 6.6 percent increase. Webshop turnover (individual purchases, orders) rose by 1.6 percent to €1.3 million. All components thus contributed to Plantion's 8.6 percent increase in turnover. Total turnover was €114.5 million.
