Last geranium cuttings staked, time for cake!

The delivery of the rooted cuttings of Toscana geraniums is in full swing and it's a very busy time at P van der Haak Handelskwekerij in The Netherlands ('s-Gravenzande). To be able to process the peak production in the first quarter of each year, Noordam Plants in 's-Gravenzande has 5 hectares at its disposal, in addition to its location of about 4.5 hectares. This week, the last cuttings of the season will be planted there. The board of directors and the employees involved paid a brief tribute to this event yesterday.

For Perry van der Haak, this year has been an eventful season with many obstacles. "The coronavirus, problems with air freight from Kenya, the high energy prices, and now the Russian invasion of Ukraine again require a continuous response. In years like these, it is very important to be able to fall back on reliable and flexible partners. Noordam plants is such a partner for us, and we would like to thank Martin Noordam, John, and colleagues very much for the pleasant cooperation."
