Plant Breeders' Rights training in autumn this year

For years, the Plant Breeders' Rights training course has taken place in June. However, Naktuinbouw organizes the training course in the autumn this year. And, just like last year, entirely online. The start is on 3 October 2022.

41 trainees followed the international plant breeders' rights trainingin 2021. Because the course took place online, the group was bigger than ever. This indicates that the demand for a good system of plant breeders' rights is high in other countries.

Plant Breeders' Rights System is central
The training focuses on the implementation of the Plant Breeder's Rights system, based on the UPOV principles. The participants all work in the area of plant variety rights. For nine weeks they share ideas and experiences and network with colleagues from all over the world. Each week starts with a joint online kick-off, followed by another online master class depending on the topic.
