A lot of interest in Stars-Plant flowering trial

Despite the bad weather, about 45 guests found their way to Leon de Witte's garden in the Netherlands. Stars-Plant organized a flowering trial with Ranunculus in cooperation with the grower.

Family Valstar, almost complete, present at the flower trial

Leon has been cultivating Ranunculus for more than 25 years and can be considered a true expert in this field. It is therefore mainly to his credit - and probably also to some extent to the sunshine, which shone abundantly for most of March - that the crop stood out beautifully. "This year we really have a full crop with heavy buds."

Growers from all over the Netherlands and Belgium found their way to the province. The Valstar family, the driving force behind Stars-Plant, was (almost) entirely present to receive guests and explain the trial.

It was the first time that Stars-Plant showed the assortment of Ranunculus, which propagates the flowers for a growing clientele, in an official flowering trial. According to the company, the test was more than successful and there is more to come.

Nic Straathof, the representative at Stars-Plant, was also present.

Besides time for a chat and the exchange, the visitors were also treated to fries and a snack.
