Midstream Lighting to acquire Hyperion Grow Lights

Midstream Lighting has announced an agreement to acquire Hyperion Grow Lights as part of a strategy to dramatically enhance support for greenhouse growers within the European and international horticulture sectors.

The acquisition underlines Midstream's commitment to leveraging the latest technology, design approaches, and manufacturing techniques to enable growers to significantly reduce cultivation time, maximize crop yields and implement new energy-efficient, sustainable operations.

Under the terms of the deal, Midstream will retain the Hyperion brand as its horticulture sector offering and integrate the business into Midstream's engineering development, UK & European manufacturing, customer support, and project delivery operations.

As part of its commitment to innovation, Midstream will also invest in a new 20,000-piece per year production line as a first phase to support the new Hyperion Pro series launching today at Greentech 2022 Amsterdam.

This significant increase in manufacturing capability, Midstream's award-winning technology leadership, and its experience delivering complex projects in over 60 countries assures at-scale delivery of transformation lighting projects for horticultural clients worldwide.

The acquisition is expected to complete in July 2022.
