FM Group and Hilverda De Boer to merge

FM Group and Hilverda De Boer are going to merge. Both trading companies operate worldwide and, with this merger, want 'to continue to be an attractive trading partner for preferred suppliers and other suppliers in the future.'

Business functions will only be integrated at those locations where this is considered necessary in terms of scale. This means that both companies will retain not only their existing brands but also their independent flower purchasing and sales functions. Each will have its own assortment, day-trade, and stock policy. However, they will analyze where it makes sense to combine direct streams and internal and external services.

Both boards expect to formally complete the merger in the third quarter of this year.

FM Group employs 1,900 people worldwide. Its annual turnover in 2021 will be around 570 million euros. Hilverda de Boer employs approximately 250 people. The company's annual turnover in 2021 will be just under 200 million euros.
