Van der Voort plants opts for labor savings
Van der Voort is a grower of spathiphyllum, azalea, and ludisia. Van der Voort is a member of Decorum Company and Air So Pure. In the processing area at van der Voort, pots are filled with potting soil, cuttings are taken, and the plants are driven into the greenhouse with cultivation tables. During this work with dust and soil, a part always ends up on the ground, and this spreads through the processing area. Previously, cleaning this area was done with a broom and an industrial vacuum cleaner. This works reasonably well, but the vacuum cleaner’s capacity was far too small for the workspace that had to be cleaned. In this situation, someone spent a few hours cleaning the processing room. According to Sander of Steenks Service, the Stefix 95 actually makes the room dust-free. “A sweeper machine sweeps and sucks at the same time.” The dust is sucked up and stored in the dustbin, where sweeping with a broom only moves this dust, says Sander.
