"Iberflora is making a great effort to reinvent itself"

Interview with José Ignacio Fernández, CEO of Intercésped, one of the reference companies in Spain in artificial turf. Explain what the current trends are in this product and the advances of Intercésped company in terms of sustainability.

What is the consumer behavior so far this year?? Is inflation affecting the implantation of artificial turf??
"Inflation is affecting the quality of selected products. There is a marked trend in the markets between customers who want the best and do not care about the price and the customer who wants artificial grass but will keep the budget and therefore, lower product quality as the average price of products has risen. We continue to benefit from the social change that Covid has meant by the improvement of leisure areas in homes and common areas."

What are the current aesthetic trends in the world of artificial turf?? Have they evolved a lot in recent years or are they stable??
"There is stability in technologies, but the market continues to demand new designs. In Intercésped we are marketing what we believe is the best lawn on the market for its new composition in various heights and that has become a benchmark for the sector, how is Olympus 50 mm and 40 mm.  Our sector continues to be affected by intrusiveness and professional opportunity, but strong brands are positioning themselves and giving maturity to our market."

In Intercésped the commitment to innovation is very present, in which future projects do they work in this sense??
"We work on sustainability projects of which at the moment I can not reveal more… But what I assure you is that we do not stop and we take into account climate change and the sustainability of our product. The ECOS System has already been an impact on the installation of artificial turf and we will continue to promote systems like this."

What is the Ecos sustainable system?
"It's very simple. It consists of changing the glue for staples. That has not been easy given the demand for the facilities and the power of the tool created, but the economic benefit, professional and environmental is huge. Saving, efficiency, and ecology in the same system... where can you find this?"

This year will be able to see Intercésped again in Iberflora, What news will visitors be able to find at the stand?
"We expect visitors with new faces in the company, a demonstration of the ECOS System that will not leave the visitor indifferent, and a stronger and more developed collection to enter different markets.  Moreover, you will be able to see first-hand our way of attending, working, and dedicating ourselves to our customers and understanding the world of artificial grass."

Iberflora is preparing a new, more experiential, and innovative concept in 2022 What does José expect from the next edition of Iberflora?
"Iberflora is making a great effort to reinvent itself in these turbulent times and we have noticed a very positive trend. We have a lot of faith in the capacity of Iberflora and we are sure that it will be strengthened this year for future events."
