Royal FloraHolland puts extra IT capacity on standby after clock disruption

On Thursday, 18 August, a network problem caused a disruption on the clock at three Royal FloraHolland locations. At the export locations Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk, and Rijnsburg, the auction process was halted for more than two hours due to a failure. The disruption lasted from 6:00 a.m. to 8:20 a.m.

The failure had consequences for all export locations of Royal FloraHolland and, more specifically, Rijnsburg. This led to a later end time. The auction has made extra efforts to limit the logistic delay as much as possible.

The auction will carry out extra checks in the coming days, and additional IT capacity will be available early in the morning. In addition, Royal FloraHolland is conducting extensive research into the exact cause, and various follow-up actions have already been taken to prevent a recurrence.
