The Great Lakes Floral Association (GLFA) is sad to share that lifelong member Maureen McKay passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2022, at the age of 82 at her home in Bradenton, FL.
At the young age of 27, she opened her first flower shop (appropriately named) Flowers by Maureen, located in East Grand Rapids, MI. She would remain here for 30 years, and she took great pride in this accomplishment. In the '90s, she became co-owner of Eastern Floral and Gifts of West Michigan.
The Great Lakes Floral Association and the Great Lakes Floral Foundation offer our sincere condolences to the McKay family and friends. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
