Video message to growers from Royal FloraHolland CEO

"Energy crisis hits floriculture hard"

The extremely high energy costs are hitting the floriculture industry hard. Royal FloraHolland is sounding the alarm and is cooperating with other parties. Don't leave the greenhouse horticulture sector out in the cold, is their message. CEO Steven van Schilfgaarde of Royal FloraHolland addresses the growers in a video message.

In it, he says that the energy crisis is hitting the ornamental horticulture industry "much harder" than corona. The CEO calls on The Hague to realize a stable energy price so that growers know where they stand. He also appeals to the new temporary minister of LNV, Carola Schouten. "Partly thanks to her, we survived the pandemic," he says.
