Last month, DS Cole Growers in Loudon, New Hampshire, opened their doors to visitors. They greeted over 300 guests, despite the high temperatures (95˚F).
Customers were able to view both new and old varieties of spring flowering pots along with exciting summer blooming plants such as Sunbeckia that continue to bloom into autumn.
An area that drew much attention was the expanding line of houseplants. These plants are propagated from both cuttings and tissue cultures. DS Cole has been trialing and growing this line of young plants each year in parallel with their demand. "For the moment, both Alocasia and Philodendrons seem to be the hot commodity. We will see what next year brings," says Kenna Cole with the company.
