The sixth project at the garden center sees a glass-roofed extension added

CambridgeHOK is back on-site with a customer who has repeatedly returned to use the company's expertise over the years as it has continually expanded its site.

The company was last on-site at Bell Plantation Garden Centre, in Towcester, Northamptonshire, back in 2019, adding a portal frame extension that enabled an expansion of the cafe and kitchen area, as well providing a new building for a play area.

Now, they are back to complete their sixth project as the team is currently constructing another new portal frame building which will be fully glazed to add more than 1,000 square meters to the center's all–year–round plant canopy space.

Once complete, the focus will then turn to upgrade existing facilities, adding cladding and new roofing to buildings, allowing the center to attract more business operators to the site, with the handover scheduled for the end of November.

Jason Tether, Operations and Project Manager at CambridgeHOK, said: "We are delighted to be back on site at Bell Plantation to help the business with its latest expansion. It is very rewarding to become part of the story with a client as we have with Bell Plantation. As and when they have needed to expand, they have turned to us. That is testimony to the partnership and trust we have built.

"Over recent years, our work has included the development of new retail buildings, canopies, and glasshouses, providing much-needed extra retail space and helping ensure the garden center became an all-weather destination.uni

"We have been on site a number of weeks now for this latest project, and we are well on with the build of the new steel portal frame building and roof glazing, which is power-coated in the black and white color, which is so striking at Bell Plantation. It is to then be fully glazed and provide a really welcoming environment for guests and an ideal plant facility."

"The second phase of our work next month is more focussed on upgrading existing buildings with cladding and roofing, allowing the client to create a different environment more suitable for the retail activities on site."

Bell Plantation includes a cafe, food hall, gym, vet's surgery, nursery, beauticians, a brewery, wedding specialists, and a poultry center, attracting more than 250,000 visitors a year.
