Global greenhouse experts met in one room

In September, the supervisors of the Armenian, Mexican and French Work Teams of Richel Group met at the company's headquarters in Eygalières, France, as part of a seminar to exchange and cross-reference their shared experiences on technical and logistical topics.

Nearly 30 people, covering all of Richel's projects, came from every corner of the world. "This meeting of the "Supervisors' Club" was a unique opportunity to meet and discuss the technical and logistical issues of each of said projects," Eric Morichard, Leading Supervisor at Richel, points out." After all, the horti industry had to go through many big challenges because of COVID first, and now because of the energy crisis and everything related to that.

"The active participation of design offices, supply chain, logistics, and customer service managers has enabled very qualitative exchanges and the implementation of improvement projects," Eric continues. This was mainly achieved thanks to workshops attended by stakeholders from the company's sectors and the technical advisors of each foreign delegation.

And, of course, this meeting was also a unique moment of conviviality and insightful exchanges. "As a source of collaboration and progress, this community, which is above all human, is the key to a truly positive approach," Eric says. The management team also was present at the meeting, which was particularly appreciated by the participants. "Oftentimes, our people are far away on-site, so it was nice to see everyone in person."

For Richel, this meeting was just a stepping stone, as they will follow up on this with the creation of an online exchange group named "Club of Supervisors." "This will involve overseas technical managers in the REX processes and will monitor the major actions approved during the seminar workshops. If things proceed as planned, the next editions will take place in Armenia in 2023 and in Mexico in 2024," Eric concluded.
