Sun Valley Floral Farms in Arcata, California, announces that Bill Prescott will be the new Wholesale and Mass Market Sales Manager. Mr. Prescott worked in marketing for Sun Valley from 2012 to 2019 before leaving to run a media company. He returns to lead the sales team and create new opportunities for Sun Valley Floral Farms.
Mr. Prescott commented, “It is great to be back in the cut flower business. I am very excited to be working with our sales partners
across the United States. This industry is full of great people and great companies, and I’m thrilled. For those of you coming to IFPA, please come say hello at our booth.”
In returning, Mr. Prescott brings a strong background in floral marketing and a deep understanding of customer service in the B2B environment. Sun Valley’s primary crops are Tulips, Lilies, Butterfly Ranunculus, and Iris; however, they grow many other crops in their California locations.
Of particular note is their Ilex Verticillata program, common name: Winterberry. President and CEO Lane DeVries has been breeding and growing award-winning Ilex berries for over a decade. Mr. Prescott will lead both the mass market sales team and the wholesale sales team.
