Dutch company Noviflora has acquired the Danish company PLS Nordic AS. In addition to the Swedish branches in Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Uppsala, and Borås and the Norwegian branch in Larvik, this is Noviflora's sixth branch in Scandinavia.
The team at PLS Nordic AS has a long history in the Scandinavian market in supplying plants from Denmark and the rest of Europe to garden centers and florists.
The acquisition of PLS Nordic's operations was made jointly with the Norwegian company Blomstergrossisten Sør AS, with Noviflora being the majority shareholder. The operations of PLS Nordic AS will continue to take place from its current location in Odense.
Noviflora board member and CEO Hendrico de Brabander: "We are enormously proud of this expansion. The acquisition of PLS Nordic means further strengthening Noviflora in the Scandinavian market, where we have been active for many years. Through smart cooperation with our existing companies in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, we can give our local position another significant boost. In doing so, we continuously strive for the shortest path from the greenhouse to the cash register for national and international products. PLS Nordic is centrally located in Denmark, where it has good logistics facilities. Noviflora wants to sustainably expand its role as a quality supplier for flowers and plants in the focus market areas by integrating forward into the markets where the family business is the market leader as an exporter."
