SO Natural quits because of high gas prices

One of the world's largest orchid growers, SO Natural, quits. Rumors were going around, but now it is official. Reason; the high gas prices.

This Dutch nursery, based in Moerkapelle in Zuid-Holland, have been in business for three generations and since last year, investment company Watertoren Hazerswoude owns 80% of the company.

They grew14 million orchids per year, had a turnover of 38,5 million euros, and 2.7 million euros in profit.

It is not clear what will happen to the 200 employees and the greenhouses.
