New Leaf Plants joins ‘Plants for Perennial’ promotion

Perennial, the charity for people in horticulture is thrilled to be collaborating with wholesale nursery New Leaf Plants as part of its ‘Plants for Perennial’ promotion.

New Leaf Plants, based in Worcestershire, UK, supplies a comprehensive range of Clematis and climbing plants directly to the retail garden center industry. It joins the scheme with Clematis, Prince George. Named after HRH Prince George of Cambridge, the plant produces an abundance of white flowers with pale blue undersides throughout the summer months. As with the existing ‘Plants for Perennial,’ an on-label charity message will appear on all the Clematis plants, and a proportion of all sales will be donated to Perennial.

The promotion is a great example of how businesses can work together to support Perennial with its important work to help individuals and their families that are struggling. With the rising cost of living being felt across the industry, Perennial’s services have never been so important.

New Leaf Plants Managing Director David Higginson comments: “New Leaf Plants is delighted to support Perennial, a most valuable charity for our industry. Clematis Prince George is a stunning garden plant and worthy of being a ‘Plant for Perennial.’ Proceeds from each plant sold will go towards supporting people in need, and in these challenging times, it is the right moment for us as a business to assist our chosen charity partner.”

Perennial Corporate Partnership Manager Phil Swainston comments: “I’m delighted that David and the team at New Leaf Plants have joined ‘Plants for Perennial’ with what I am sure will be a hugely popular variety of Clematis. This collaboration between four of Hereford and Worcester’s finest nurseries is a great example of how the industry can support Perennial.”

‘Plants for Perennial’ was launched earlier this year in collaboration with three other major wholesale nurseries – Allensmore Nurseries, The Bransford Webbs Plant Company, and Wyevale Nurseries.
