As of November 1, 2022, Wing Seed BV has become part of Pieterpikzonen Holding BV.
For many years the two companies had a good, strategic collaboration, including through a joint business unit Pieterpikzonen Asia BV. This collaboration led to the takeover of Wing Seed BV.
Both businesses complement each other well in terms of product range and market. As a division of Pieterpikzonen, Wing Seed is future-proof. As an independently operating company, it gets plenty of room to grow in the professional vegetable seed market.
For Pieterpikzonen, the takeover is the next step in reinforcing and expanding their position in the vegetable and garden seed market.
Over the upcoming years, Frederik Gerrits will remain active as the director of Wing Seed. This provides ample opportunity to streamline the takeover for both businesses. The activities of Wing Seed and its location in Enkhuizen in The Netherlands remain unchanged.
Naturally, ways to enhance each other are taken into account, including product range and systems. The takeover also means that the team of Pieterpikzonen will gain eight new colleagues.
