Farmer-florist Christian Ingalls of Daisy Dukes Flower Farm shares her taste of today's tropics. But rather than tropical flowers, Christian teaches about growing temperate flowers on the Big Island of Hawaii. Her floral enterprise, Daisy Dukes Flower Farm, is located in Papaaloa, home to a menagerie of animals, fruit trees, and lots of flowers. Daisy Dukes Flower Farm produces temperate annuals, perennials, flowering bulbs, and herb crops — flowers not typically associated with the Aloha state.
