Amevo takes over operations of Jobu Plastics

From 1 January 2023, Dronten-based Amevo has taken over the operations of Kudelstaart-based Jobu Plastics. For Amevo, the acquisition means a further expansion and strengthening of both its customer base and product range.

"We are extremely pleased and proud that we were able to reach an agreement with owner Jos Buskermolen of Jobu Plastics on the acquisition of his business," said Amevo managing director Folke van Dorp.

"Jobu Plastics is a well-known name in horticulture with a long history, dating back to its start in 1984 with the introduction of the JOBU tomato clip. This was followed in 1986 by the first invention of our own, the JOBU clipring, a horticultural knack that can't be ignored to this day. Since then, Jobu Plastics' range has grown enormously with numerous smart and inventive products for professional horticulture."

According to van Dorp, both the product range and customer base fit seamlessly with Amevo as a supplier of innovative products for the professional horticulture sector.

Current owner and director of Jobu Plastics, Jos Buskermolen, has joined Amevo through an advisory position. "His ingenuity and technical know-how are something we will gladly use in the future in the development of new and innovative products."
