Natural Resources program in Uganda awards Dümmen Orange

At the recently held Water & Environment Week in Uganda, Dümmen Orange was awarded for its commitment to the Natural Resources Stewardship program in the country and for its participation in the Water & Environment Week. 


Victor Embati (left), Quality Assurance Manager, received the award on behalf of Dümmen Orange from officials of the Ugandan Ministry of Water & Environment.

Dümmen Orange was recognized as the most compliant farm within the Flower sector in areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance aspects. These areas include social responsibility to employees and neighboring communities; health and safety at the workplace; commitment to the Natural Resources Stewardship program; waste management, and statutory requirements on annual audits, environmental impact assessments, and water permit renewals and usage.
