The industry has suffered a big loss recently with the passing away of Mr. Arie de Vrij, who used to work at DeVry Greenhouses.
On Sunday, March 19, Arie passed away at the age of 87, leaving behind a lasting legacy of quality, respect, and dedication. His funeral was on Thursday, March 23.
Arie sold his greenhouse in Holland in 1987 and moved to Canada in 1989 with his wife Bep and their two sons, Pete and Arnold. He was very instrumental in the growth of the DeVry Greenhouses business over the past 33 years and was active in the business till almost the end.
His commitment to quality was a cornerstone of the DeVry DNA. We will deeply miss his presence, wisdom, and guidance, but his legacy will live on in our continued pursuit of quality.
