Mersin municipality in Türkiye opens up 13 booths in a shopping mall for female flower growers

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality continues its support to women producers engaged in production in different fields. The Municipality's Women and Family Services Department, which brings together all entrepreneurial women with the sales booths it opens and provides them with an economic income, this time brought together the women who produce flowers at a local shopping mall.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which opened sales booths for 13 women who produce flowers with the slogan "You Love Mersin which smells Flowers," offered an important market opportunity for female producers.

Burcu Sert, who works at Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Department of Women and Family Services, said, "We opened our flower market with the flowers produced by our 13 female producers. Our event will continue until the end of this week. After this difficult process we went through in Türkiye due to earthquakes, we wanted to open our hopes up with the first flower market event. At the moment, the interest is very good. We are waiting for everyone." 

Shopping mall's marketing specialist Can Yazgan added, "Today, we host the flower market where female producers of Mersin take part. We always support production by women. We would like to thank Mersin Metropolitan Municipality for its support. Our first event after the earthquake. and we believe in its unifying power."

Ozlem Beker, who has been growing succulents and cacti for 7 years, took part in the producer women's stands for the first time. Expressing that she is quite excited, Beker said, "It is very nice to communicate with people one-to-one. I have been selling online before. I am very happy to be here at the moment. It contributes to the family economy of women."
