UK: Provender Nurseries achieve FORS silver accreditation

Kevin Davies-O'Malley, Transport Manager, and his team's hard work has paid off, with Provender Nurseries achieving FORS silver accreditation.

FORS silver accreditation is a Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme designed to drive up standards with operators and the construction industry and demonstrate exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection. 

Kevin says, "I am incredibly proud of the hard work that has been put in by my transport team to attain the FORS silver accreditation and maintaining Bronze. Running our own fleet efficiently and safely is of utmost importance to us as a business and to our clients. To be able to offer the professionalism we can, this is down to the high level of training of all our drivers."

"The application for FORS silver accreditation has involved all team members in the transport part of the business, including scrutinizing our working systems covering vehicle safety, driver training, fuel emissions, air quality, noise pollution, and road risk to all road users." 

"As part of the road risk assessment, in March, all of our drivers took a safe urban driving course, cycling around Dartford to see the road from a cyclist's perspective."

"Now that we have achieved FORS silver, we will strive to retain the accreditation moving forward. We can now deliver to construction sites which require FORS silver accreditation in and around London."
