US (MI): Larkin Township greenhouse to reopen as Rooted by Keits

The former Roy Kutchey Greenhouse is making a comeback this spring under a new name and new ownership. 

Tyler Keits will open the greenhouse, at 3515 North Eastman in Larkin Township, on April 28 as "Rooted by Keits," a branch of the greenhouse business he owns in Bay City. 

Keits has solid roots in Midland. He started his first small retail greenhouse at the age of 18 on the corner of Patrick and Washington streets and has been selling flowers at the Midland Area Farmers Market since he was 12.

When Keits discovered Kutchey's was for sale, he decided to step in and try to prevent a family greenhouse from going out of business - something that is happening increasingly more often.
