China: Rose plantation promises rosy future for farmers in China's Xinjiang

Diverse varieties of roses have become a source of vitality for the local economy in Yutian County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Located on the southern edge of China's largest desert, the Taklamakan, Yutian County in Hotan Prefecture has a long rose planting history.

More than 3,746 hectares of roses were planted in Hotan Prefecture in 2022, 3,206 of which were in Yutian.
