Perennial, the charity helping people in horticulture, has appointed Jamie Gault as its new Chief Executive.
Perennial builds better futures for people in horticulture and their families through its services and support, developing health, financial and social wellbeing, skills, and qualifications. Jamie is taking over from Peter Newman, who is retiring after six years in the role.
Jamie has over 40 years of experience in the charity, private and financial services sectors. In 2008 his career moved to the charity sector, working with a number of people-focused organizations, including a delivery partner for the Prince’s Trust, the YMCA, and, most recently, Action for Carers Surrey as its Chief Executive.
Perennial Chairman Paul Rochford says: “We thank Peter for his six years of leadership through unprecedented and difficult times for people in horticulture. Perennial’s achievements in supporting and raising awareness for all those who work with plants, trees, flowers, or grass are a testament to his hard work and commitment. We wish Peter the very best for the future. Part of our role in providing support for those facing challenging times is to help prevent issues from arising. We are delighted to welcome Jamie, who joins at a time when demand for our services has never been greater. His experience will particularly assist the delivery of our prevention services and activities.”
