The hydrangea is the fourth most important flower in Colombia in terms of value and volume. But how are they grown, harvested, packed, and shipped? In this 2,5 minute video below, CI Global Exchange, also known for their brand Flores Del Este, shows the entire process.
Located 3 km away from La Ceja in the municipality of Antioquia, they are one of the largest hydrangea growers in Colombia. At 2,200 meters above sea level, on 23ha, they produce 5 million stems in more than 10 natural colors of hydrangeas per year.
