The Eurofleurs 2023 competition took place at the Arboretum Volčji Potok Park near Slovenia's capital Ljubljana.
UK competitor Catey Burn from Old Oak Floral Designers in Ascot was placed 4th, only 11 points away from 1st place. Twelve countries competed in total, and to earn a place in the competition means that you are amogst the best young floral designs in the world.
Catey competed in WorldSkillsUK before winning her place in Eurofleurs through a competition held at FleurEx.
As a general rule, the European Championship for Young Florists is open to florists under 26 years of age (during EUROFLEURS 2023, the regulated age limit will be under 27 instead. This is because the championship was postponed for one year).
The florist associations that are members of Florint nominate the competitors in the championship, just as with FLORINT's Europa Cup. Eurofleurs takes place every 4 years, on average.
