Ronald Hartman, Hartman Expeditie:

"50 trucks a day going all over Scandinavia"

This year is the first time Hartman Expeditie will have a stand at Fruit Attraction in Madrid. The Dutch transport group specializes in temperature-controlled groupage transport from the Netherlands and Belgium to Scandinavia. "Our group offers an ideal cross-dock location for Spanish haulers and exporters who don't want to drive those last pallets to Scandinavia. With winter approaching, the trade show is the perfect time to promote our logistics services," says director Ronald Hartman.

"They can leave their wares at one of our two Dutch and two Danish locations. We drive, seven days a week, all over Scandinavia." Hartman Expeditie has a 200+ truck fleet and is the largest fruit, vegetable, flower, and plant groupage carrier on the Scandinavian market. "That scale is an advantage because we get to every corner of that region," says Ronald.

High fuel prices remain a hot item in the transport sector. "Fortunately, it's compensated, but there must be a structural solution at some point. We use fuel-saving programs, where we motivate drivers to drive more economically. That's going fairly well, but it remains a highly volatile market."

Green Label Logistics
"We're super proud of our Green Label Logistics label," says Ronald, who had already invested heavily in LNG trucks. "Here, we're making huge strides in sustainability. By using technical innovations, improved trip coordination, wind turbines, solar panels, hvo100, and LNG, we've managed to reduce CO2 emissions by 95%."

Hartman Expeditie has also ordered another 25 new Scania trucks. "And we've bought five new Spanish trailers. I hope we'll get one in front of the exhibition center," Ronald concludes.
