By expanding with an extra rental location in Bleiswijk and placing a tunnel greenhouse for the production of mandevilla and Tuscan jasmine at its Portuguese nursery, AltaNova is able to advance and extend the season of perennial garden plants.
At the new location in Bleiswijk, a number of new products will be grown alongside the current range of perennials, including Limonium Salt Lake in pot sizes 17 and 21 cm and Alstroemeria in pot size 21 cm.
Mandevilla and Tuscan jasmine
Thanks to a new tunnel greenhouse at the nursery in Cavaleiro, Portugal, the grower hopes to expand the range of mandevilla and Tuscan jasmine both in numbers and in pot sizes and shapes in the coming season. The latter, the Tuscan jasmine, is an old friend of AltaNova and will be reintroduced to the range in four different pot sizes.
The grower is making headway. Last year, the new generation steamed on to the board, and they regularly introduced new varieties (like last year's Nertera Granadensis Astrid, aka Coral Moss, and Craspedia globosa). In the video below, also from last year, they launched a slick corporate video.
