Because the company was running into limits in terms of information provision and the possibilities of the software in use, a modern and scalable total solution was sought. "FreshPortal is a complete system with which we see all our wishes fulfilled," states co-owner Wouter Persoon of Esperit Elements. "We can now move on to the next phase of our development."

Thanks to FreshPortal Software, the company now has real-time insights into inventory, sales, and outstanding orders. Moreover, based on accurate cost price calculations, the correct recommended prices are automatically suggested. "Until the implementation of FreshPortal, we were running on an outdated IT system combined with in-house customization based on Excel," Persoon reflects. "After about twenty years, we had really grown too big for that. Especially with the enormous growth, especially in recent years, a far-reaching professionalization of our core system was needed."
"At Esperit Elements, we like a clear picture of where we need to go as an organization," continues the co-owner of Esperit Elements, which specializes in distinctive creations. "That means creating a solid foundation first. Once that trunk is well rooted, then you can start hanging branches from it. That's how we did it with the implementation of FreshPortal: a well-founded choice with an eye on manageability, controllability, future-proofing, and so on."
When Persoon and his men oriented themselves on the market for ERP solutions, they quickly ended up with the niche player that is developing strongly nationally and internationally. "They knew the specific requirements of the market and had a corresponding vision for the development of their software." During the implementation period, FreshPortal Software was further perfected as a fully cloud-based, modular, scalable, and user-friendly total package for the floriculture industry. Virtually all work processes are supported within the software.
Complexe challenge
Romek Piechowiak, involved in larger implementations from FreshPortal Software, agrees: "I usually focus on projects that involve more than just the configuration of our standard solutions. So, I'm used to slightly more complex customer challenges. The interaction with Esperit Elements was of a different nature. We were excited about their vision of a comprehensive system and saw opportunities for further development of our own software."
Transition completed
To be able to market all this properly and efficiently, they now have full insight into inventories, orders, and product arrangements to be put together without additional purchasing. In addition, the work processes around purchase orders, product development, and actual production are supported. "Our entire company now runs on FreshPortal," said an enthusiastic Wouter Persoon. "Through faster and better insights, partly based on BI dashboards linked to FreshPortal, we have been able to make our operation more effective and efficient." Various modules of FreshPortal are used, including for an optimal and efficient production process. With pick orders, working with handhelds, and the "mix processing screen" for visual support to the production worker, among others, various processes have been optimized, and efficiency and quality have increased.
