NY: Hydrangea World brings the colorful message of indoor hydrangeas to life

Hydrangea enthusiasts no longer need to wait until summer because the indoor hydrangea season has already started. The collective promotional campaign Hydrangea World provides extra 'buzz' to stimulate purchases at the beginning of this season.

Through new imagery in various Dutch and German consumer media, Hydrangea World presents indoor hydrangea as a colorful surprise. In addition, this year's animated videos highlight the positive attributes of the indoor hydrangea and they provide handy care tips.

Cartoon Animation
In the new animated videos, Hydrangea World uses cartoon characters that appeal to the target audience. One of these animations demonstrates how the indoor hydrangea can have a positive effect on the humidity in the home and, thus, on a healthy indoor climate. Another animation shows that the hydrangea, after a long blooming period indoors, can be relocated to the border for a second life. Consumer research shows that consumers have little knowledge of hydrangea care, which can be a reason for not buying them. Therefore, there is also an animation that focuses on the care of hydrangeas.

Visual Incentives
Hydrangea World has offered new images of indoor hydrangeas to various Dutch and German consumer media, both online and offline. These photos are also available for free for the (professional) trade so that they can support the shop floor. The images from 2024 show the versatility of the indoor hydrangea in interiors.

Joining the Campaign
The indoor hydrangea is available in a wide variety of colors, shapes, and sizes until summer, as the season lasts until the beginning of July. The collective promotional campaign 'Hydrangea World' is an initiative of all hydrangea suppliers of Royal FloraHolland and several European hydrangea breeders and propagators. The campaign is carried out by Concept Factory.

Throughout the season, there will be promotions for both indoor and garden hydrangeas. Hydrangea World's website and social media say that there is also a collaboration with the producers of cut hydrangeas.
